About Founded by Zombilious, Gaia Radio is one of the first radio stations ever available on Gaia. Since Zombilious had never heard of any radio stations on Gaiaonline (or at least of none being successful), it took many months for the idea to flourish in her head. She eventually came to her senses and realized: It had to be done. So, after countless hours of planning and constructing, she finally had all the information she neededalmost half a year later!
But her dream would never have been completed without the help of a few friends. Version Five was the first, offeringing his bandwidth for Gaia Radio be streamed on his popular Gaian website, GaiaResoures.info. Even with that thoughtful act, Zombilious had yet to find a decent, free editing and recording program. For awhile, it appeared as though Gaia Radio would never happen. Then, one day, hope came in the form of Lordy Gee, the founder of Reality Check, who introduced her to and taught her how to use Audacity.
As the staff and crew grew, Twilight Afternoon joined in, and shared her knowledge of FCC guidelines, allowing Gaia Radio to broadcast without any fear of legal repurcussions. One after another, users came to help build Gaia Radio. But above all else, Taltal111, who is now Gaia Radio's Vice Director, helped the most. Without her, Zombilious would not have been able to run the guild properly.The last and most recent leap came from _xX Es-One Xx_, who registered and designed a website just for Gaia Radio. While also funding the guild, he singlehandedly made Gaiaradio.info a reality.
Zombilious thanks all of these Gaians, even those not listed, for their dedication and support. Without this wonderful crew, Gaia Radio would not be what it is today.
Gaia Radio is streamed, download-free, for all interested users. The broadcast you hear is created through a long process, beginning with the broadcasters who record their 20-25 minute-long show. After being uploaded as .MP3 files, they are sent to an editor who adds the advertisements and final touches. What the users hear is the final product, created to be as professional and enjoyable as possible. Once uploaded, the broadcasts can then be streamed at the convenience of the listener.
